- rrrrccccssssddddiiiiffffffff runs ddddiiiiffffffff(1) to compare two revisions of each RCS file given.
-
- Pathnames matching an RCS suffix denote RCS files; all others denote
- working files. Names are paired as explained in cccciiii(1).
-
- The option ----qqqq suppresses diagnostic output. Zero, one, or two revisions
- may be specified with ----rrrr. The option ----kkkk_s_u_b_s_t affects keyword
- substitution when extracting revisions, as described in ccccoooo(1); for
- example, ----kkkkkkkk ----rrrr1111....1111 ----rrrr1111....2222 ignores differences in keyword values when
- comparing revisions 1111....1111 and 1111....2222. To avoid excess output from locker name
- substitution, ----kkkkkkkkvvvvllll is assumed if (1) at most one revision option is
- given, (2) no ----kkkk option is given, (3) ----kkkkkkkkvvvv is the default keyword
- substitution, and (4) the working file's mode would be produced by ccccoooo ----llll.
- See ccccoooo(1) for details about ----TTTT, ----VVVV, ----xxxx and ----zzzz. Otherwise, all options of
- ddddiiiiffffffff(1) that apply to regular files are accepted, with the same meaning
- as for ddddiiiiffffffff.
-
- If both _r_e_v_1 and _r_e_v_2 are omitted, rrrrccccssssddddiiiiffffffff compares the latest revision
- on the default branch (by default the trunk) with the contents of the
- corresponding working file. This is useful for determining what you
- changed since the last checkin.
-
- If _r_e_v_1 is given, but _r_e_v_2 is omitted, rrrrccccssssddddiiiiffffffff compares revision _r_e_v_1 of
- the RCS file with the contents of the corresponding working file.
-
- If both _r_e_v_1 and _r_e_v_2 are given, rrrrccccssssddddiiiiffffffff compares revisions _r_e_v_1 and _r_e_v_2
- of the RCS file.
-
- Both _r_e_v_1 and _r_e_v_2 may be given numerically or symbolically.
-
- EEEEXXXXAAAAMMMMPPPPLLLLEEEE
- The command
-
- rrrrccccssssddddiiiiffffffff ffff....cccc
-
- compares the latest revision on the default branch of the RCS file to the
- contents of the working file ffff....cccc.
